이나영 작가의 개인전 [낯선, 온도] 는 오는 3월 16일부터 4월 20일까지 마테리오 갤러리에서 진행된다. 이번 전시는 작가가 흙을 손으로 만져 색면 형태를 만들어내던 도자 작업의 시기 이후 선보이는 회화 전시로서 손과 안료의 촉각적 움직임에 집중하여 형이 색이되어 감정을 환기하는 순간을 선보인다.
작가의 기질 안에있는 동력과 에너지는 고스란히 얇은 무명천 위에 스며들어 작가 스스로의 자아와 이어지는 지점을 만들어내는 데, 이는 무작위한 의식의 손끝으로 열어 젖혀지는 내면의 공간이다.
마치 채색된 공기의 움직임처럼 느껴지는 부유하는 덩어리들은 보는 이에게 감정적 환기를 유도한다. 의도된 서사 없이 가벼우면서도 농후한 존재감을 지니는 이미지들을 통해 포털처럼 낯선 기운에 맞닿게 하여 보는이의 개인적인 심상에 신선한 감각을 추가하게 하는데, 이는 개인의 기호와 인식으로 자유롭게 해석하고 느끼게 하는 추상회화의 순수한 본질 자체로 보여진다. 던져졌다고 표현되는 작가의 개인적인 키워드들의 파동으로 구현되는 이미지 안에는 감정의 동물적 표현이라 말할 수 있을 만큼 본능적이며 율동적인 울림이 있다.
온도의 막 혹은 색채 덩어리로 보여지는 작가의 형상은 순간적으로 구현된 터치에 대한 연쇄적 반응으로서 정해진 의도없이 부유하며 상상의 여지를 드러내는데, 그 드러남은 두려움이 용기로 변하는 찰나의 표현이다. 손끝으로 안료 가루를 문지르며 시작되는 작업 행위 안에서 안료의 얼룩진 부위는 순수한 색채 너머의 감정 덩어리 같다. 작가는 안료가 물과 섞이면서 캔버스 표면으로 스며들고 퍼져나가는 순간에 집중하면서 어떠한 감각의 영역을 열어보려는 동적인 감각을 추구한다.
지나간 시간과 미지를 몸으로 투과해내고자하는 작가의 의지는 캔버스를 외부와 맞닿은 몸으로서 인식하며, 움직이는 상태로서 감각을 체험하고 반응하여 변화하는 심상의 온도를 표현한다.

Na Young Lee solo exhibition [ Unfamiliar, Temperature ] will be held at the Materiaux Gallery from March 16 to April 20. This exhibition is a painting exhibition presented after the period of ceramic work, in which the artist touched the soil with her hands to create a colored surface shape, focusing on the tactile movement of the hands and pigments, and present the moment when the form becomes color and evokes emotions.
The power and energy within the artist's temperament permeate over a thin cotton cloth to create a point connected to the artist's own consciousness, an inner space that is opened and tilted with the fingertips of unplanned consciousness.
Floating lumps, which feel like movements of colored air, induce emotional evocation to the viewer. Through images with a light yet abundant presence without an intended narrative, a fresh sense is occurred to the viewer's personal imagery by encountering unfamiliar energy like a portal, which is seen as the pure essence of abstract painting that freely interprets and experiences with individual preferences and perceptions. The image embodied in the pulsation of the artist's personal keywords expressed as ‘being thrown’ has an instinctive and rhythmic resonance enough to be said to be a creatural expression of sentiment.
The artist's shape, seen as a film of temperature or a lump of color, is a serial reaction to a touch embodied in an instant that floats without an intention and reveals room for imagination, and the revelation is the moment when fear turns into a guts. The pigment's stained area in the work that begins with rubbing the pigment powder with her fingertip seems to be an emotional lump beyond the pure color. The artist pursues a dynamic sensation to open a certain sensory area while focusing on the moment the pigment permeates and spreads to the surface of the canvas as it mixes with water.
The artist's desire to penetrate the past time and the unknown through the body recognizes the canvas as a body coming across with the outside, and expresses the temperature of the imagery that changes by experiencing and reacting to the senses as a moving state.
